Treatment of HIV infection in combination with other antiretroviral agents.
DOSING FOR ADULTS GUIDE [DIAMS HSgB]
Usual dose:
200 mg PO q24h for the 1st 2 weeks (lead-in dosing),
followed by 200 mg q12h
Simplified regime for patients with consistently suppressed viral load:
400 mg PO q24h

ALTERNATIVE DOSING (BLUE BOOK / HSgB DRUG LIST)
Combined with other antiretrovirals: 200 mg once daily for the 1st 14 days; up to 200 mg twice daily if rash does not develop. Re-introduce at a lower dose for the 1st 14 days if treatment is interrupted for >7 days,necessitate reintroduction at a lower dose for the first 14 days.
